I decided to do light painting for my 3rd photo assignment. I decided to shoot a bottle but I had to blur the name out because it wouldn't be allowed for school project. I had a lot of fun doing this photo assignment. I had help from my mom and sister to help move around the light. I learned how to shoot light painting and that liquor bottles can't be used for a school project. In this project we had the task of photoshopping a car to make look as good as possible. I had to select and remove the background, tint the windshield, and clone colors on the car to get rid of glare. I learned basic tricks of photoshop, editing, and how to make a picture look better.
I decided to do macro and I took pictures of my moms flowers. I used natural light and 3 cardboard boxes to mount my camera. I adjusted the ISO, the brightness, the height of the camera, and the angle to get the best picture possible. My sister helped me to adjust the the lighting in the room and other important parts in the photo. I learned how macro can pick out the details that make pictures very pretty. Also, how to take great pictures with macro. I decided to do Still life as my topic for my photo assignment. I used multiple objects such as shoes, flowers, and a water fountain as my examples. My dad helped me with the flower photos by holding our phones and using them as flashlights for lighting. I changed the ISO and aperture to try and get the best possible picture. I learned that you should take more photos than you need. There's a better chance you will get a better photo. This was our first photoshop assignment and it was a struggle. I didn't really know how to do anything on photoshop. But I had fun doing it and I think it looks pretty cool.
CompositionIn this assignment we had to take pictures of compositions in photography. There are 11 elements of composition. They are Symmetry, Lines, Rule Of Thirds, Balance, Space, Color, Framing, Perspective, Depth Of Field, Texture, and Pattern. The class spent about 4-5 days to take all the photos and eventually chose their best ones. What I learnedIn this assignment I learned a lot of things. I learned how to import photos, how to take photos, and how the rules of composition affect taking photos. Also how a camera works, and how to adjust it's zoom and lighting. I have learned a lot about photography from this assignment.
